This “Making of” video takes viewers behind the scenes of a recent Porsche Panamera commercial shoot.
The “Family Tree” ad used 50 different Porsche models, with 22 professional drivers on hand to make it happen. In the final version, the cars race around miles of tarmac, all centered around the new Porsche Panamera. By the end of the video, the cars have splintered off to form the shape of a tree.
The shoot for the television ad took three days to complete, with over 160 crew members involved.
Fans of the New Orleans Saints have been asking the same question all week leading up to Super Bowl XLIV in South Florida: “‘Who Dat’ gonna beat dem Saints?” They got their answer Sunday night. They were treated like pop idols, except they were shipped in travel crates. Adoring crowds and television viewers watched Thursday as American-born giant pandas Mei Lan and Tai Shan were loaded onto a special cargo jet for a flight to their new homes in China for breeding. Normally placid, 3-year-old Mei Lan from Zoo Atlanta whirled and paced in her crate as flashbulbs popped. Tai Shan, a 4½-year-old born in Washington, hid at first but was drawn into view as his longtime keepers at the National Zoo knelt silently at his crate to say goodbye, hand-feeding him slices of apples and pears. China lent Tai Shan’s and Mei Lan’s parents to U.S. zoos for conservation, and now their cubs will become part of a breeding program in their endangered species’ native land. About 1,600 giant pandas live in the wild, and another 290 are in captive-breeding programs worldwide, mainly in China.(19 images)

The Singapore Airshow 2010 is a 6-day event that began on Feb. 2. The first four days of the show are devoted exclusively to the trade attendees while the final two weekend days are open to public. The show is held at the Changi Exhibition Centre near the airport. The airshow will host 800 exhibiting companies from over 40 countries.
During a rally in Spain, a car slides out of control during a curve and crashes into a mother and her daughter, flipping them into the air. Amazingly, no one was injured in the accident.

Tomorrow will mark three weeks since the massive January 12th earthquake in Haiti, and tent cities remain full, even as some businesses and factories are beginning to reopen in Port-au-Prince. Now that massive amounts of aid have arrived, distribution problems have cropped up and are being addressed. The World Food Program has begun a new system of delivering rice to 10,000 Haitians per day at each of 16 women-only distribution points around the city - restricted to women, since young men often muscle their way to the front of distribution lines, and the women are viewed as more likely to fairly divide up the food.
